GC supports SMEs with apprenticeship service changes

In light of the recent government change, which allowed non-levy paying SMEs to gain full access to the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS), Gloucestershire College is reassuring county businesses that it can support them through the process of administering and paying for apprenticeship training.

GC shortlisted for national TES FE award

Gloucestershire College is excited to announce that, for the third year running, it has been recognised in the national TES FE Awards, after being shortlisted in the 2020 Employer Engagement category.

Milestone School gains skilled, motivated staff with apprenticeships

The Milestone School, part of SAND Academies Trust has been recruiting apprentices for over five years, ranging from school leavers to more mature apprentices, to meet the needs of the school and its pupils. Taking on apprentices has enabled the school to benefit from staff of a range of ages, life skills, experience and expertise, which has added depth and breadth to the whole school staff team.

Earning accredited qualifications via an apprenticeship

The introduction of apprenticeship standards means that an accredited qualification no longer has to be included in the training, however many training providers, including Gloucestershire College, still do. Apprenticeship fees halved to 5% for SMEs

From April 2019, small businesses will pay just 5% towards the costs of apprenticeship training, making apprenticeships even more affordable for SMEs.
