We're proud to work with Weston CollegeUniversity of the West of EnglandYeovil College and Bath College as academic partners in WEIoT. The anchor employers of the WEIoT include Bamboo Technology, GE Aviation, Renishaw, GKN Aerospace, JISC, Leonardo, Airbus, National Composites Centre, North Somerset Council, io Academy, Rolls Royce, St Monica Trust, United Bristol and Weston Health NHS Trust

#NAW2021 Apprenticeship Case Study: Jake Butler, Engineering Degree Apprentice at GE Aviation

Gloucestershire College is a proud champion of apprenticeships. To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2021, we are showcasing success stories from our amazing apprentices and employers. We caught up with 19-year-old Jake Butler, an Engineering Degree Apprentice at GE Aviation, who came from Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Gloucester after having studied Mathematics, Physics and Product Design A Levels.

Employer case study: Renishaw - The value of apprenticeships in business

Gloucestershire College proudly works with Renishaw to train Embedded Electronic Engineering Degree (Level 6) Apprentices. We caught up with Julia Russell, Apprentice Lead at Renishaw, to share why apprenticeships form such an important part of their business and why local employers should consider hiring apprentices or upskilling existing members of staff through apprenticeships.
