Plans unveiled for new electrical engineering provision at Gloucestershire College in Cheltenham

Gloucestershire College has announced plans to open a brand new electrical engineering facility at its Cheltenham campus from September this year. The news follows their successful bid to become an Institute of Technology in partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), which will provide investment of up to £3 million into Advanced Engineering and Cyber facilities at the College.

Partnership with Hooray Recruitment helps fill apprenticeship gaps in county

Gloucestershire College has partnered with Hooray Recruitment, a Cheltenham based recruitment agency to provide a new platinum service to help businesses to fill harder to appoint apprenticeship roles.

Partnership with UWE to deliver cyber degrees in Cheltenham

Gloucestershire College (GC) has announced an exciting venture with the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) to offer new cyber degrees in Cheltenham from September 2020. The strengthened partnership will expand computing and cyber security courses offered locally through a dedicated cyber training facility at GC’s Cheltenham campus.

GC supports Cheltenham to become cyber capital of the UK

Last month Cheltenham Borough Council set out its aim to make Cheltenham the cyber capital of the UK in its three-year corporate strategy. In efforts to support this aim, Gloucestershire College (GC) is now working with Cyber Security Associates and other expert digital security businesses in the county to provide qualifications to train competent Cyber Security Technologists

Colleges Week 13th - 17th May

Colleges Week takes place this week for the second time this academic year, and is part of the ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign. Colleges across the country are once again hosting events to showcase the brilliant academic work and social achievements they undertake on a daily basis.

Winning against antibiotic resistance

Our Graphic Design students have won a design competition launched by Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) aiming to raise awareness of antibiotic resistance. They were competing against 40 other schools and colleges across the county.
