Over 100 visitors attended Gloucestershire College’s business event in partnership with The University of the West of England (UWE) on Tuesday 9 July to hear about the future of cyber security in Cheltenham, strengthened by the new cyber degree partnership between GC and UWE.

Gloucestershire College has announced plans to open a brand new electrical engineering facility at its Cheltenham campus from September this year. The strengthened partnership will expand computing and cyber security courses offered locally through a dedicated cyber training facility at GC’s Cheltenham campus.
Last month Cheltenham Borough Council set out its aim to make Cheltenham the cyber capital of the UK in its three-year corporate strategy. In efforts to support this aim, Gloucestershire College (GC) is now working with Cyber Security Associates and other expert digital security businesses in the county to provide qualifications to train competent Cyber Security Technologists
Colleges Week takes place this week for the second time this academic year, and is part of the ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign. Colleges across the country are once again hosting events to showcase the brilliant academic work and social achievements they undertake on a daily basis.
Our Graphic Design students have won a design competition launched by Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) aiming to raise awareness of antibiotic resistance. They were competing against 40 other schools and colleges across the county.
