Writing the Personal Statement
The personal statement is an important part of the UCAS application for university admissions and can be the deciding factor in some cases. Offers are made on the basis of educational attainment/predicted grades, the UCAS reference, specific course requirements and the personal statement.
Some universities take them more seriously than others and this will vary within departments too so the best advice is to write a good personal statement as you never know who is going to end up reading it and how much of a difference it could make!
