We love sharing the success stories of our apprentices here at Gloucestershire College. We caught up with Ella Russell, Business Administration Apprentice at Tewkesbury School, who has thrived in her apprenticeship and is also a finalist in Gloucestershire’s Apprentice of the Year Awards 2020. Whether you are looking to become an apprentice or you’re a local employer looking to recruit an apprentice, we hope Ella’s story will inspire you to take the next step.

From the new academic year, starting this September, students can expect the same expert tuition, personalised support and face-to-face delivery as is standard for GC, with some courses incorporating elements of online, remote or blended learning to ensure the social distancing measures we have implemented can be followed.

Gloucestershire College becomes one of the first to be awarded CyberFirst Schools status by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – a part of GCHQ – through a new initiative which recognises excellence in cyber and cyber security education. Find out more here.

We would like to congratulate Poppy Sharam, Junior Stylist and Apprentice at Laura Leigh Hair & Beauty, who has been awarded a Distinction for her Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship End Point Assessment. Only around 2% of apprentices in the country have gained a distinction for their End Point Assessment so this is an incredible achievement! Find out more here.
