First students and apprentices are welcomed back onto campus

We are pleased to say Gloucestershire College has welcomed some of our students and apprentices back onto site this week.

The first who have been allowed back onto campus are students and apprentices who are ready to complete their qualifications but cannot do so remotely, for example, apprentices with assessments in construction and engineering.

Our class sizes have purposefully been kept very small and we are following all of the social distancing measures set out by the government. We even have a one-way system in place around the College. The safety of our students and staff is, and always has been, our highest priority.

In the next couple of weeks, we are looking forward to welcoming back some IT students and apprentices who have technical exams coming up, which can only be completed within the College. We will also be delivering some classes for students who are completing Function Skills English and Maths.

Throughout lockdown, we have been delivering teaching remotely and are really proud of our students and apprentices for how they have quickly adapted and engaged with their studies.
