Virtual Classes Continues Student Learning During Lockdown

While we all continue to stay safe at home, we are adapting to the ever-changing environment and are happy to share that the learning continues at Gloucestershire College.

Our teaching staff have worked tirelessly to ensure students can complete their courses this academic year. Classes are being delivered virtually, and there are plenty of online resources and support available for students; academically from their tutors and heads of school, pastorally from our Learning Support team and financially from Student Services.

Online course delivery has included video based dance, performing arts and art classes, with students uploading videos of themselves for assessment. As well as, a wide range of demonstrations: live professional cookery and art techniques. You can find out more about our commitment to engaging lessons here.

Emily, who teaches our media make-up course, said, “We have had a really fun task where we have created makeups based on the rainbow in our online learning to keep the positivity flowing in isolation.” 

Rachael, construction lecturer, added, “I’ve been really impressed with how students have used their time and learning from this academic year during lockdown.”
