Online ILM leadership course now available

Gloucestershire College is delighted to announce it is now an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Approved Centre delivering the online-only Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
The qualification is ideal for those with management responsibility but no formal training, who are serious about developing their abilities and advancing their career.
The online-only course can be completed in just eight months, with no need to attend a classroom, and ILM membership is included for the duration of the course. In addition to flexible start dates available all year round, there is an option to add other CPD modules at no extra cost.
Learners will gain a range of key management skills, including how to motivate and engage teams, and manage relationships confidently, while employers will benefit from more effective and productive managers who communicate better, with measurable results including workplace-based assessment available, and a broad range of optional units to enable the qualification to be tailored to business needs.
The Level 3 diploma covers the following topics:
- core management skills – understanding how to organise and delegate
- ability to perform management tasks – manage projects and lead meetings
- team leadership – how to motivate people to improve performance
- change and innovation – how to plan and manage, and create a culture of innovation
- full range of communication skills
- managing people – negotiation, networking and building relationships
- leadership – using action learning to develop capabilities
Amie Nutbrown, Head of Commercial, said: “We’re delighted to officially be named an ILM Approved Centre and offer a fully flexible leadership and management training programme to those who may previously have been unable to attend classroom-based courses. The beauty of it being online only means learners can study around their existing life and work commitments.
“The Level 3 diploma is particularly suited to practising team leaders aspiring to move up to the next level of management, as well as managers who need to lead staff through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
“And the great thing about this course is that it can be paid for by your employer or even the government-backed Advanced Learner Loan, taking the financial pressure off yourself a little.”
