Gloucesterbury - We are hosting our first ever festival!

We are hosting our first ever festival - Gloucesterbury -  all about Higher Education (HE). 

With 3 stages full of great speakers, talks, seminars, demos, taster lessons and fun, it's an event not to be missed for our current Level 3 students!

The festival will be held at the Gloucester campus on Wednesday 3 April from 10.00am to 2.00pm. If you are a current Level 3 student at the Cheltenham or Forest of Dean campus, coaches will be picking you up and taking you back after the event.

Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting stuff we have lined up for the day:

Main Stage - Talks and Information

  • 10.15am - What is HE and what are the benefits? 
  • 11.00am - Gillian Williams from CCP. How do more qualifications improve employability? 
  • 11.45am - Apprenticeships with Jan Knight.

Interactive Stage - Tasters and Demos 

  • IT and Computing – Have a go at using forensic tools - Atrium.
  • Graphics – Workshop – an introduction to graphics – Atrium + C310.
  • Performing Arts – Singing musicals from different eras – Atrium.
  • Mechanical Engineering – Demonstration of CNC equipment - A003.
  • Engineering – Simulation projects in the lab – A218b.
  • Music – Check out our acoustic sessions - Atrium.
  • Health and Social Care – Case study dilemmas – D318.
  • Construction – Demo of completed projects – A207.

Online Stage - Get online! 

  • Ask HE Students questions about their experience on Facebook Messenger.
  • Instagram questions – Got a burning question to ask? Watch our story.
  • Interactive online quizzes and guides – D103.

There's also live music performances from current HE students, face painting, photo booth, candy floss, popcorn machine, goodie bags, mocktails, work exhibitions, and a VIP area to look forward to!
