In light of the Gloucestershire 2050 vision and keeping young talent in the county, Gloucestershire College is offering 6th form apprenticeships.

After an extremely successful Hospitality Industry Taster Day held at our Forest of Dean Campus last February, the college will repeat the event this year, this time at both Cheltenham and the new, state-of-the-art Forest of Dean Campus in Cinderford.

Conservative MP Richard Graham and Labour MP Nic Dakin have co-authored a letter to Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond seeking more funding for Further Education with the support of 165 MPs from four parties represented in Parliament.

Our Principal Matthew Burgess and Chief Financial Officer Andy Bates met with Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk to update him on the College’s cyber and technical ambitions. The College plans to create new higher level digital education and training opportunities for students and employers.

The Career Hub is an exclusive, extended work placement programme for Level 3 students and local Gloucestershire businesses.

Anne Careless, Team Leader from Tewkesbury Library mentored one of our Career Hub students, Tymo, for work experience and explained what they both gained from their week together.

Following the huge success of last year’s event, Gloucestershire College is inviting prospective apprentices to its Gloucester Campus on Wednesday 20 March, 5.30pm to 8.00pm to learn about apprenticeships and meet local employers looking to recruit.
