I liked the idea of studying and gaining real work experience so I decided to go for an apprenticeship. In my day-to-day job, I work in the tax and treasury department, I tend to manage the cash and allocating cash efficiently.
The support at GC and my employer is the best thing about my apprenticeship, including the support from other apprentices who work at my company.
I first started on a Level 3 accounting course and then progressed onto a Level 4. I hope to keep moving up the ladder by studying a CIMA course at Satran.
When you're thinking about doing an apprenticeship, don't be afraid to ask questions. I think accounting apprenticeships are good for all industries, especially as you need work experience.
