“I am enjoying the course as it’s really different to how school was, as I get to focus on one subject and get good at it. The staff treat all students with respect and that campus looks really cool and very modern compared to the rest of the area.

I decided Gloucestershire College was the best option for me as it was close to home and close to the place I wanted to do work experience which is a big part of the course. I’m interested in barbering so the hairdressing course really appealed to me.

My dream career is to open my own barbers. There’s quite a lot of career advice given and the opportunity to meet people that have opened their own barber’s and businesses so I feel like it is something I could do in the future. After I’ve finished my course I want to do 2 new hairdressing levels, which will be Colouring at the Forest Campus and then Barbering at the Cheltenham Campus.”
