I chose hairdressing because I love the fact that I can give people the confidence with their new hairstyle. Over this year, we have learned new techniques of colouring. You get to expand more of your palette on what you do in hairdressing.

At the Forest campus, we try to keep our Graduations salon as professional as we can by booking them in how we would a normal salon. We offer the best service we can whilst learning. Whilst working in here, we have been able to gain more confidence, and that is good for when you go into a salon because you're used to talking and working at the same time. I like it here because the atmosphere is great.

You get to work with people that you get within the salon. Our lecturers do continue to work in the industry and outside of the college as well. I feel like they bring us professional techniques so that when we go into salons, that's how we should treat other people as well.
