As a local business of long standing, reliant on specialist skills, we are always keen to bring on young talent and pass on those skills that will disappear if crafts people don’t do this.

GC was a natural choice as a joinery course provider. It’s convenient for our apprentice who can access the college easily without travelling long distances.

We have recruited a number of apprentices and some have stayed many years. Our current third-year apprentice now has his own workbench and can work independently on more complex tasks. He’s learned a wide range of skills and had the opportunity to work in clients homes, developing his fitting capabilities and interpersonal skills.
