Access to Higher Education
Don’t let fears of returning to the classroom stop you from improving your career prospects! Whatever role you want to end up in, our Access to Higher Education course will prepare you for studying at university level. When you’ve completed it, you’ll be ready to study a Higher Education course with us, or with a university of your choice.

Arts and Design, Photography, Media, Music and Performing Arts
Our Arts and Media Academy is part of an elite group of the best arts and media providers. We offer a gateway into many creative industries and have a strong track record of successful students.
One of our courses could help you become a graphic designer, screenwriter ,photographer, curator, director, animator, actor, musician, or radio/TV producer.

Business, Administration, Management and Finance
A business qualification can open many doors, and even help budding entrepreneurs to find their way! We have a huge range of courses at different levels, and you’ll be learning from experts who have direct industry experience in many sectors.

Catering and Hospitality
Gloucestershire College is the main provider of hospitality, catering and chef training in the county and has a long, successful track record, with students going on to develop careers with Raymond Blanc, the Roux Brothers and Heston Blumenthal. Many go on to set up their own successful restaurants and catering businesses. Tom Kerridge was a past pupil of the College.

Construction
The construction industry needs skilled people who understand about sustainable building practices and the latest technology. They also want people who’ve developed traditional skills such as bricklaying and plastering. Our construction training programmes will make you ready for work. You could train towards becoming a builder, architect or site foreman for construction projects ranging from housing to travel infrastructure.

Early Years and Health and Social Care
The health and social care sector is the largest employer in the UK and provides a huge variety of work with this field, ranging from nursing to childcare, social work to pharmacy. The sector is increasingly growing in recognition of the central role that it plays in society. We can give you the skills and knowledge you need to progress in this field, either to a Foundation Degree or straight to employment.
The courses lead to jobs in social services, health care assistants or you could be employed in a nursery or as a nanny.

Our excellent Functional Skills for Adults courses can help you to improve your English and maths making you feel more confident in everyday life.

ESOL
ESOL classes help many learners to improve their English in order to communicate better in many situations.You have the opportunity to take Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening exams at various points in the year. Our English language classes are multi-cultural and focus on communication through English. First Steps
People don't always get the qualifications they want at school, but that doesn't mean you have to forget about furthering your education and doing more with your life.

Foundation Studies
For 16 to 24-year-olds who need to build their confidence, improve social and personal skills, or learn independent living, a Foundation Studies course will help. After finishing an Independent Living course you could move on to higher courses, do some paid, supported or voluntary work, or go on to supported or independent living.

Hairdressing, Beauty and Holistic Therapies
If you like to make people feel good and have strong communication skills then a course in hairdressing, beauty and holistic therapy is sure to put a spring in your step! You could become a beauty therapist, hairdresser, barber, make-up artist, nail technician, massage therapist, or holistic therapist. Supervisory and management roles are also possible.

Motor Vehicle
With 32 million vehicles on UK roads there is a wealth of related job opportunities for those with the right knowledge and practical skills.
The motor industry has technical and customer service roles. You could become a diagnostic technician, master technician, motorsport technician, MOT examiner, paint technician, or workshop supervisor.
