What will I study?
This T level covers a core set of underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills, and then move on to specialist content covering occupational or industry specific skills. There will also be industry placements with up to 2 employers which will last for a minimum of 45 working days.
Our brand new T-level course in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning has cutting edge content and is a whole new way of learning. You’ll have a full-time programme of study as well as Industry Placements to prepare you for work or Higher Education.
The course is made up of different sections.
The Core section of the T Level programme will give you a baseline understanding of the industry. There is an employer set project, where you are challenged to design a building in a set amount of time.
The Occupational Specialism section is covered mainly in year 2 and this covers content which aligns with industry specific skills or directly relevant content for your chosen occupation.
A key section of the course is the Industry Placement which gives you at least 9 weeks of valuable work experience.
In addition, there are a host of other elements such as preparation for work, T-level specific tutoring, trips and careers advice and guidance to make a relevant and substantial study programme.

In addition, the employer set project will test you on a host of skills including:
