The Level 2 Construction course allows all learners to access multiple trade tasks and assessments, giving them the best grounding for their chosen career.
If your future career options are to take an apprenticeship, this course will help in your chosen trade or will give you a broad set of skills for a career in maintenance.
Ideal if: you would like an in-depth view of the construction industry by trying a variety of construction skills, with the aim of progressing towards an apprenticeship or level 3 qualification.
You’ll learn: brickwork, joinery, wall and floor tiling, construction operations, painting and decorating, carpentry, plastering, plumbing and electrical.
Expect: to learn from guest speakers including former students working in the trade and employers.
You’ll love: to practice your trade skills in our purpose-built workshops and as part of the GC House renovation project.
At Gloucestershire College we want students to develop their English and maths skills so that they achieve their learning goals and future career aims. For this reason all full-time students who have not achieved grade A* to C English language or maths GCSE will study these subjects as part of their course.
