This one year course offers learners the opportunity to study a variety of art and design skills and techniques. The course is designed to give learners the skills needed to progress on to an extended diploma in a specialist area. The course involves educational visits and opportunities to work with employers around the county as part of the wider curriculum.
Gloucestershire College has excellent facilities, and specialised staff with industry experience. You will take part in live assignment briefs and the College has close links with artists, such as PJ Crook (our honorary Vice President) and Russell Haines and many of our lecturers are exhibiting artists. You will enjoy large, light working spaces, print room, life drawing studio, photography studio and digital art suites (Mac and PC).
At Gloucestershire College we want students to develop their English and maths skills so that they achieve their learning goals and future career aims. For this reason all full-time students who have not achieved grade A* to C English language or maths GCSE will study these subjects as part of their course.
