Open Event Staff Guide
Thank you for supporting our open events. We hope you are as excited as we are to welcome prospective students and parents to GC!
Open events showcase our campuses and facilities, and aim to inspire prospective students and their parents. Most importantly, they encourage applications for our courses and apprenticeships.
This guide should cover all the information you’ll need to support the events. If you have any queries, please contact Izzie Gazzard.
Staff Briefings
We know it can sometimes be hard to squeeze in the time to attend a staff briefing, which is why we have now condensed all the information into this guide and our email invites. If you have any unanswered questions, please contact Izzie Gazzard.
Event Format
This event will take place across the ground floor of Gloucester Campus, with subject areas and support stands for visitors to speak to GC staff.
Roaming Hosts are on hand to direct people and show workshops and facilities.
Admissions
Admissions will be based in C013 (behind the library) for the evening. If prospective students are hoping to start with us in September, we recommend that they apply as soon as possible!
There will also be a 'mini application hub' in The Student Hub, for visitors to the construction, engineering and trade stands.
Catering
We will provide food and refreshments for staff supporting open events. In line with our GC Zero commitment, we ask that you bring your own water bottle to refill as needed from water points across each campus.
Collect your food from Food Central from 4pm. Please ensure that your name is on the staffing sheet in order to collect your food, as it will be checked off the list.
If you have any students supporting the event, they will also be able to collect food from Food Central.
If you're unsure if you are on the staffing sheet, please contact Izzie Gazzard.
