A Taste Of College Life
The Advice Team is here to provide schools and their pupils the chance to collaborate with GC and understand all of the educational options available. We visit schools, give campus tours, and can give advice on a one-to-one basis too.
You can read more about what we do below. If you’re a teacher or a careers coordinator and you’d like us to visit your school, please get in touch! If you’re a parent, you’ll need to ask your child’s school to invite us.
Call or e-mail the Advice Team to discuss how we can work together.
Support with School Activities
If you’re holding a parents' evening, careers event, or themed week to highlight a particular area of your curriculum then we would love to help. For example we are happy to attend your careers fair with a information stand, or provide demonstrations to support your employability or STEM events.
School Talks
We can offer talks to individuals and groups in school about careers, progression pathways through education, and specific information about individual courses or departments at GC.
Presentations, Workshops and Demos
Some of the things students do and study at GC will be very different to what GCSE (or pre-GCSE) students do and study! That’s why we offer presentations, workshops or demonstrations for different courses and topics.
Taster Sessions
Help your pupils to understand what it’s like to be on a GC course with some taster sessions!
Application Workshops
We can support your pupils to apply by arranging dedicated workshops and one to one sessions at your school or here at GC.
Mock Interviews
We can attend any mock interview days that you have scheduled to provide an experience which is realistic, informative, and good preparation for the real thing.
GC Life E-bulletin
As part of our remit to spread the word about life at GC, we’ve created GC Life, a monthly e-bulletin aimed at careers teachers and advisors. It’s free to subscribe to, just e-mail the Advice Team with your name, your school name and e-mail address.
Course Guides
We supply schools with hard copy course guides, and can provide additional copies on demand. Please email or call for any further help or advice.
