Equality and Diversity
We are committed to promoting equality and diversity and we take this into account when evaluating tenders. Your approach to equality in your employment practices and service delivery will be monitored during the life of each contract.
Health and Safety
We take health and safety seriously for the benefit of all our students, staff and visitors. We will assess and monitor contractors’ service provision to ensure it meets our guidelines.
Providers in the construction industry or other building trades must comply with the Contractors’ Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) or its equivalent. You can find more information on the CHAS website at www.chas.co.uk. You can also email our Health and Safety department.
Insurance
Insurance requirements are normally stated in the PQQ/tender documents. As a minimum most contracts require the contractor to be covered by an Employer’s and Public Liabilities Insurance to the value of £5,000,000.
