Who is on the Board?

Our Board Members are a dedicated group of volunteers from local businesses, community groups, staff, students and the local authority.

We are committed to representing the community in which we operate and we value diversity in skills and experience.

Your Commitment

The Board meets at least once a term, at either the Cheltenham or Gloucester Campus on a Thursday at 4.00pm.

The sub-committees meet 4-7 times a year in the early evening; each governor is expected to serve on one committee as well as the main Board.

You can get an idea of what takes place at these meetings by looking at the minutes.

The Process

The Governance Search Committee must consider potential Board members, prior to being proposed to the Board of Governors.

We invite new members to an induction session to find out more about the role of the Governor. At a later stage, new Board members are given the opportunity to attend training activities and a conference to develop their knowledge and skills.

Further Information

For more information please contact the Clerk to the Board of Governors. We can send you an information pack, or discuss informally how you could contribute to the life of this exciting and challenging organisation.

This is an unpaid position, but travel expenses and, if appropriate, a carer’s allowance, may be claimed for attendance at meetings.
